Athanasios Sipsas

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Executive Member

Born in 1950, he is a graduate Mechanical Sub-Engineer.

From 1972 to 1979, he worked as a Supervising Engineer for electromechanical projects at I.G. KORONTZIS S.A. In 1979, he was appointed Manager of the company’s Construction Department, and from 1983 to 1999, he served as General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors of I.G. KORONTZIS S.A.

From 1999 to 2001 and from 2021 to 2023, he served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EKTER S.A., while from 2002 to the present, he has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of EKTER S.A.

Mr. Sipsas is a prominent and respected member of the Greek construction community and has served the industry for many years through his participation in the Boards of institutional bodies representing Greek technical companies. He served as a Member of the Board of SATE from 1991 to 1998, as a representative of contractors on the Public Works Council (2010), and as a Member of the Board of STEAT in 2010 and from 2015 until 2025.
