UNIVERSITY GENERAL HOSPITAL OF HERAKLION
The project concerns the creation of a new ICU with a surface of 650 m2 and a capacity of 11 beds. It was built on the ground floor of the hospital’s main building, in the area that previously housed the restaurant for the staff, office and auxiliary spaces of the existing ICU, a number of doctors’ offices from other departments, as well as free spaces. The new ICU is located right below the existing ICU; thus, an external staircase and an elevator were built for the vertical communication between the existing and the new ICU.
